Backhoe Looking for a little advice on backhoe mounting

Maybe there are different types of "subframe" setups ...
Given he number of manufacturers, that probably goes without saying ... ;)

but the ones I'm familiar with do not use the 3 pt attachment points in any way. Here's an image of the left side mounting points for my backhoe; the right side is the same. The subframe extends underneath the tractor as shown in the second photo.
Yup ...

As stated by zmansmac the frame support kit - or "subframe" - on the Kubota essentially reinforces the connection between the engine/frame/transmission.

I don't believe that zmansmac or anyone has claimed that the Kubota hoe in question is a "sub-frame mounted backhoe" ... it is definitely not ... it's a 3-point attachment ...

Nonetheless, the frame support kit could rightly be described as a "subframe" ... and has been in the past on TBN.

FWIW:

sub-
1.
a prefix occurring originally in loanwords from Latin ( subject; subtract; subvert; subsidy ); on this model, freely attached to elements of any origin and used with the meaning "under," "below," "beneath" ( subalpine; substratum ), "slightly," "imperfectly," "nearly" ( subcolumnar; subtropical ), "secondary," "subordinate" ( subcommittee; subplot ).

Not to belabor the point... was responding to Jim's comment about subframe hoes still using the 3 point toplink, which is definitely not correct for my setup or other true 4 point subframe BH installations I've seen. Well, TBN is always educational for me.

BTW, the toplink reinforcement is a worthwhile addition with any implement that can put heavy stress on the tractor rear diff/3 pt lift casting through the toplink. An example would be a logging winch.

Note that I could be wrong. I was working on the assumption that if they made a reinforced top link then that would suggest that it uses that link. But you know assumptions. I was looking at a JD 8a backhoe off a tractor a few weeks ago. The subframe was attached to the backhoe. I assume (again) that the top link attached to the traditional top link of a regular three point hitch. Looking at the JD parts diagram I think I am right. I would rather have a system that bypassed the top link but a backhoe is just a dream until I build a bigger garage where I can spend a few weeks welding one up. John Deere - Parts Catalog
