Looking For 1" Dia Shoulder bolts

Can anyone refer me to a place to buy large shoulder bolts cheap?
boltdepot.com has what I need, 1" x 3" Shoulder Bolts (they are measured by usable shoulder diameter and length)
but they cost $24.00 EACH! :shocked:I need 2 plus nuts.
I might be able to get away w/ 1" dia x 2-7/8" length

Fastenal has a wide selection of socket shoulder bolts. I was going to look up pricing for you, but there are a lot of variables required beyond just shoulder diameter and length.

Thread diameter?
Thread pitch?

that's about what I would expect to pay for something like that.

McMaster Carr carries a lot of this type item. Not sure how they compare on price.

I suspect that $24 each for a bolt that size of any quality would be reasonable.

Yea, 50 bucks is not unreasonable, I just shop the daylights out of stuff looking for that "deal". Gawd I wish i were rich...

I think Fastenal was 1/2 as much again more than boltdepot...

Those are usually called "stripper bolts". Look in the Yellow Pages (yeah, they still exist) under fasteners and you'll find local bolt suppliers. That's about right pricewise.

BINGO! There .5" longer than necessary but a few washers will fix that.

Lots 15802 and 15804, I think there are 18 bolts for 25 BUCKS instead of 25BUCKS EACH ! Muhahahahaha :thumbsup::thumbsup:

They have more of the 15804's as well if anyone needs any. WHAT A DEAL! HA!
