Looking at used options...opinions on L4400dt or M5040

I, personally, would never buy a tractor - sight unseen - from an individual that I didn't know. Like TripleR stated, the M series has more power; etc, but I have a L4400 DT and it has met my needs and has served me well. If you think that the seller is LEGIT, I would still take a road trip. This way you can check out the tractor thoroughly. Best wishes.

I have bought 2 tractors from Brady at Barlow Tractor. They were great to deal with and I didn't pay a dime t ill they were in my driveway. Brady sent me lots of pics and we talked a few times and I filled out the credit application. Barlow TractorAsk to speak to Brady

I will also add that I like my L4400 but it is not in the same class as the M series tractors. M series are true utility tractors made heavier and larger.

Is $17k a good deal on a 2007 m5040 with la1153 loader and 450 hrs? Don't want to miss a deal but also don't want to overpay. Thanks!

Sounds like a good deal to me. Here is a link to Tractor House. Keep in mind the ones listed on Tractor House are dealer prices that likely have the usual wiggle room on their listed prices. Only one matches the one your looking at and thats what leads me to think its a good deal.
