Looking at the L4060 have some Questions

For sure it won’t handle 2000# pallets. We get seed wheat in 2000# totes on pallets. If they are sitting on the ground, I can lift them enough to scoot them along flat gravel. I haven’t tried boosting relief pressure to increase lift - assume they size everything properly so overpowering it to lift could damage something - maybe me. So I have 2 higher capacity loaders now from which to select depending on the job.

There’s very little chance of that tractor unloading an evenly distributed 2000 pound pallet. If it was a 2000 pound log so the load center was closer to the pins it would probably do it. If you’re looking at getting a backhoe anyway I’d look at the dedicated TLB lineup. My M59 would load 3600 pound bundles of plywood. The series smaller TLB should easily manage 2000 pounds.
I use many IBC totes for firewood. Most of them are the 275 gal. size - but I also have 6 of the 330 gal variety. When I load them with green oak (to slightly higher than the top) I estimate their weight to be 2800-2900#. When I lift these with my L-47 TLB it does not struggle - but I can tell there is some weight out there on the forks.

Just because someone slaps big numbers on their loader spec’s doesn’t mean the tractor can actually put in the work without flipping over.
You're hilarious.
Why ask questions if you're unwilling to receive an answer?

Note: that was a rhetorical question.
We already know the answer.

Well technically you failed because that tractor is 4000 pounds not 3700. But we’ll move past that. Assuming that tractor loader is actually capable of lifting 2700 pounds with no smoke and mirrors involved how much ballast does it take to perform the job?

So, the Kubotas can lift the rated capacity without any rear ballast? 🙄

No. And that’s the point. You’ll never get enough on the Branson to do the job.

My M7060 picks up a ton of wood pellets off a truck like it’s nothing. Once I have the ton it gets lowered right to the ground. I thank god I only have a very short trip into the garage. I can feel that the tractor ain’t too happy. For that project I wish I had a skid steer.

That’s what I’m saying about the little Branson. Regardless of what the specs say it’s not doing the job. You have a lot bigger tractor and say it barley does it. Another poster in this thread has a NX5510 also a lot bigger tractor and says the same thing that the tractor lifts the load but the stability isn’t there. A forklift or skid steer is no doubt way better for lifting heavy loads vs a tractor.
