Looking at new and used Kubota BX's

I nearly spit my coffee out from dodgeman comments and my hoe bolded statement ... HOW TRUE!!!

I grew up around farms but the BX is the perfect thing for me as I dont have that many acres and it fits the bill for me. When plowing snow with my BX, it does feel like a d8 after 9 years of hand shoveling.

Thanks, we visited the Deere dealer last night and also saw the Massey sub compacts. We have to go visit the Kubota dealer still but there is a storm coming currently so it will need to wait till next week.

She has ruled out the snow blower and has decided to go with the loader and rear blade for snow removal. She likes the idea of having a loader to carry things around.

What is the initial impression of the deere vs massey? Has she picked a favorite of THOSE two yet?

She likes them both. If going new she likes the auto connect feature of the Deere. Outside of that she is very easy to please, just as long as it starts when asked and does its job she will be happy. So I am just trying to make sure she will be comfortable with which ever model/brand she chooses. It was raining last night and the Deeres were outside so she didn't sit on too many, just the 1026. The seat on the 1026 sure does look to be a lot better quality then on the 2305.

The Masseys she only looked at control placement and physical size. Didn't sit on them as they were in the mall roped off. If she decides to look closer at them we will go to the Massey dealer and look them over more indepth. But it was nice to be able to see them immediately after visiting the Deeres. They had the GC2400 and GC2600 up there both set up with loader and MMM. One thing going against the Masseys is the dealer is over an hour away where as she lives about 5 miles away from the Deere dealer and there is a Kubota dealer 3 miles away (we wouldn't buy from that one but would go there for parts if in a bind).

Ended up buying a 2002 bx1800 with 433 hours, front snow blower and 54" mmm. She paid $6500 for it and if it wasn't this nice we were set to buy a new unit from Neil Messick. She still is interested in buying a loader for it eventually but it probably won't be till spring.

I'll post pictures when I have a chance. The tbn app is crashing again :-(

I like that custom folding ROPS, but I'm sure others will disagree! Congrats!!

Nice. If she gets tired of snow blowing back in her face, you might look up Original Tractor Cab. They have cabs with swing open doors for ~$700.

It looks like they did a good job. The guy who owned it was real attentive to details and his son was an engineer who helped him. They made a few modifications and all of them are well done.
