The Kioti repairman is Maytags repairman's brother. Some dealers and rental yard owners will chime in to attest to that. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

For me, only 30 hours, so far so good.

go through every post in the Kioti forums . I don't think you'll find much as far as these machines giving problems to their owners . I don't think they( Kioti ) have to look over their shoulders as to fit, finish, power, value , or reliability .
If you read my bio , you'll know I don't own one . So I am not selling you on a make of machine . However ,given the current changes (hst 's in the 30 hp range) , if I were in the market now ,I'd sure be looking hard at this brand .
I own an L3130 , and love it . But then it just seemed to fit me and my needs . You just need to sit on everything you can, test them all against your needs ,and then decide .
BTW a good dealer is probably as important , or more important than your choice of tractor . John

So far, 2 years and just over 200 hours on a DK 35 my only complaint has been the roll back power of the loader.
As for the tractor itself I have never had a single problem.

For what it's worth, I've been shopping and researching for a while now, and I have a while to go before I can buy.

I've had the opportunity to look at and test drive just about every color out there. I'm trying to stay totally color blind, so that when I finally can pull the trigger, I'll be buying the machine that best fits my needs and budget.

I have to say that I keep coming back to the Kioti's, although there is a blue one that I like too! The Kioti's really impress me. I'm especially fond of the DK35 or DK40 machines. I am absolutely convinced that if I bought a Kioti, I would never regret it.

But I also have to say that the same can be said for the other colors too. For me, the deciding factor will, in all likelihood, be the dealer. And right now, I don't have many (ah, none!) Kioti dealers available to me. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Good luck with your search! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Garry,
Make a "test drive trip" to Ohio and make sure Kiohio has what you want in stock, and you can probably take it home with you....... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Kioti's seem like good tractors, but th eonly reliability info I'm seeing here is for machines with under 200 hours. Barely broken in. Any body have any info on how they do with 2000- 3000 hours? Not expecting any difference, just curious. At that point you may start to see drive line issues if there are any weakneses.

My last tractor I put 600 hours on over an 8 year period. It would take me nearly 27 years to reach 2000 hours. Your mileage may vary. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

cag,

Would you mind sharing with us whereabouts in Canada are you. How big a body of water do you have to cross? How much property on this island? How big of a barge to float this tractor across?

Don

Don, We live in the Ottawa area. As for the barge, it has not been built, I have an idea of dimension but I want to wait until I buy the tractor. I'm not sure of the brand to purchase yet. Lot of choices out there and I have been getting a lot of help of this site and I want to make sure I get the perfect tractor. I have a body of water around 500 feet to cross onto the island. The property is big enough to handle a tractor.

PS. I finally received a list of Kioti dealers for my area.

Had a LB1914 that we sold an engine for about 5 months ago. Guy said the hour meter showed about 5000 and the hour meter wasn't working at the time. Tractors still ran but was little low on power. Customer just wanted to replace the engine. I think all it really needed was maybe a head gasket and a ring and valve job though. I've had several other machines i have seen that have upwards of 2000 hours on them and no problems.

The new Kioti tractors are the same way, just as realiable. In the amount of tractors we have sold we have had very little warranty work. All of it was Minor items like seat, tach cable, and other minor items, that are just normal for man-made items. All in all Kioti is a very tough and realiable machine.
