Looking at buying a used Kubota RTV 900 Diesel - NEED ADVICE, PLEASE!

True the shifting can be a pain. Maybe your 2018 won't have that problem.

Mr. King, I JUST bought a 2015 RTV-1120.....You are the third person talking about "shifting" probs. My Kubota TRACTOR has a "manual" transmission with a clutch and no problems. I thought the Kubota UTV's have hydraulic/automatic transmissions. What shifting are we talking about here? One guy mentioned "going down a hill in reverse"...have no idea what he is speaking of....
Can someone educate me here so I am prepared for the issue. Thanks

The RTV900 was not an "automatic". Shifting between ranges or between forward and reverse was a pain with my RTV. Part of the problem was the slight hyd pressure keeping it locked in gear so they added a knob to release pressure. I got in the habit of rocking my body front to back to help it some. A job with lots of shifting, like snow plowing, was a bit tiring.
