Looking at an LS J2020H FLB

Looking at an LS J2020H with FEL and BH. CUrious to hear other members experiences with this tractor or it's bigger sister (J2030)

My initial impressions. The HST at 1500RPM in H was pretty responsive compared to the MF GC1710 and JD 1025R I checked out.

I thought I would be unhappy with the HST compared to the Mahindra MAX 28XL with Shuttle shift. But at a quoted price difference of 5,000 between the two I was easily convinced.

I liked the fact that the BH has it's own separate seat vs the shared seat of the JD and MF. I also liked the fact that the "subframe" is a detachable system integrated into the BH.

As this will be my First NEW tractor I am curious as to others experiences. (I currently have a Yanmar YM1700 that I really like but it is not enough for the projects I have on my property)

What really sold me on this unit is the ground clearance. I did try out an LS G3033 with FEL. Awesome tractor for the price but a bit TOO much tractor for my needs I think.

Not really familiar with the model your considering, but as a whole, I think the LS line is one of the best values to be had. I've had my LS R3039H for a year and a half, and I love it. I'm always looking for a reason to get on it!

How many hours on her? Any servicing issues out of the ordinary?

I see u r in the gulf area like me. I am over in the Mobile area.

I'm in gulfport. I've got about 175 hrs, and not a single problem, and I've got to say I work mine hard.
What dealer are you looking at? I bought mine at Stringfellow Equipment in Lucedale.

Didnt know there was one in Lucedale. I am working with a dealer in Crestview, FL. He gave a pretty good price on the unit. $16.9K

Less than the deeres and Kubotas; Plus she is taller than the SCUTS. They call her a Mid-Compact. My wife was excited after driving it and running the loader and backhoe. So WE as a family can work together.

I dont remember the forum members name - but dig through the LS section, you should find a fairly good review and comparison to other models. I know he did a TON of research on it.

It might be worth it to give Stringfellow a call ( 601-947-3973 ), and talk with Phyllis. They may not have one in stock, as they are in an agriculltural area, and usually carry larger tractors, but she can get you one. I originally got a quote from another dealer, and Phyllis's price was $ 2000 less!
They've been in business over 50 years, and are nice folks. They are also farmers, as well.

I read his. It was a major reason why I went back to the dealer to give her a go. And I was pleasantly surprised. AFter letting my wife take a run at it for 30 minutes and getting her reaction (she did like the 3033) We were settled. My curiosity now is to confirm what the dealer told me. No major issues with the LS brand...

If you need assurance that the LS brand is trouble free, look through the LS forum, and you'll have a hard time finding someone with a problem. Pick nearly ANY other forum, and you'll find enough issues to keep you reading for a while!
Now keep in mind there are far more owners of other makes, but problems with the LS are practically nill.
