i found a Yanmar 1510 in the paper, all it says is that it's 2 WD comes with 4' yard bax and weights. I can't find any good specs online. Does anyone know if it comes standard with a PTO, 3 point hitch, if there's no front end loader can one be added?????? please help!

They are set up with a 2 point tiller. Most importers add the lower linkage to make it 3 point. If it has a box , it has been converted.

I would not buy a 2WD tractor with the intent to add a FEL. Look for a 4WD.

I have to disagree. On a 2WD, fill the rear tires and/or carry a rock box or a mower on the three-point for more counterbalance and you'll be ok using a FEL on dry ground. I do it all the time moving dirt, gravel and manure and working on the gravel road. It gets around fine!
There's no question that 4WD is very helpful, but it's not mandatory on a larger, heavier tractor.

The 1510 is only 18hp, its not a large tractor at all.

I would not own on unless it was a 4x4.

I believe you just proved my point.

Perhaps your needs might be better and more fully met if you shopped a dealer who focuses on these used tractors and made your purchase there. You would get the information you need, you would know where your parts and service support is coming from, and you could have much more confidence in the likelihood of the tractor being reliable for a long time.

Compugal,

Perhaps a brief description of what you intend to do with the tractor and tasks on your property. Also, a general location in your profile would be helpful.

A good dealer will help you with the appropriate size and implements per your budget. Good luck on your tractor hunt.

I have a 1500D, D as in 4wD. Similar in size and hp as a 1510 little different in other things as one of the dealers can fill you in. The Ds allow you to switch from 2wd to 4wd. From this prospective I can tell you it is like night and day if you are to drag a blade or plunge a FEL into a pile of gravel with this little tractor. If you are bushhogging or pulling on level ground then the 2wd ones are little work horses. If you putting in a nail, use a hammer. If you are breaking concrete then use a jack hammer. The dealers on this forum are great and can help you figure out the tool you need.
