Been looking at CUT's... JD, Kubota, and checked out Kioti after reading lots of positive stuff (mostly here). Visited Kioti dealer to physically see/touch some tractors today.

Dealer has two CK30 HST's with KL130 FEL's. Says both are 2008. One has the light grey chassis and non-QA loader bucket (which is smaller height-wise than the other one). The other unit which has a dark grey (almost black) chassis and a QA loader bucket.

I suspect the second one is really a 2009. They haven't had it on the lot as long as the first tractor.

I'm looking for guidance... Pricewise and decisionwise. There's more interest in the "older" unit because I think a better deal could be had...

Dealer gave a price of $16,700 for the "older" tractor. Gave a price of $17,700 for the other unit. The free FEL promotion is going on. Dealer said that knocks $1200 off the price which takes us down to $15,500 for the "older" unit.

I suspect the loader with the non-QA bucket is the "older" design that I've read has some problems and that Kioti redesigned it, and that the other tractor with the QA bucket is the newer redesigned model.

Both units are "new" and would have the 4-year warranty. The QA bucket issue itself is really not a deciding factor. The bigger bucket would be nice, but it's not a deal-breaker either. I don't think there'd be any reason to be taking the bucket off for the planned usage of this tractor. However, if there are quality issues, that is a different story...

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Loaders are more then 1200 or so I thought. I was thinking that size loader would be around 3500 :)

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Almost fell over when I heard $1200.

If it's really a 2008, it probably has the new loader design. Easy to tell. If it has a round tubular cross member (you can see the round from the ends), then it's a new loader design. If it's the old style loader (more of a rectangualr cross member), I'd pay the extra grand for the other tractor.

Kioti started to make the new style loader frame before the the QA came out. Follow what Gittyup mentioned about the round tube to tell. Mine is the old style and still no cracks. There are times I wished for a bigger bucket for light material, wood chips and snow, but you can get one for less than $1000 if needed. I also wonder how much the QA lowers the lift capacity by moving the bucket slightly farther forward. Only $1200 off for the free loader! When I bought my CK30hst with KL130 four years ago, the loader was $2500. I'd opt to save the $1000 and put it towards any extras that you may need later. I think the overall price seems a little high because of not getting the full benefit of a free loader.
I don't know where in PA you reside but give Wallace a try. You'll find him on this forum.

I have a quick attach on my dk35 with the kl1450 loader. I never thought I'd use the QA feature, but boy was I wrong. It's surprising how handy it is to have a set of forks that just "clip on". My old b7800 didnt have a QA and I had to chain the forks in the bucket...what a pain. Just my $.02

Thanks for the replies. I don't remember seeing any difference in the loaders except for the bucket and mounting method, so you're probably right - it's probably a new style loader on both.

One other thing... Both tractors have been sitting out in the weather for 2+ years in the dealer's yard and are starting to show it. The quick-connect hydraulic fittings for loader show some surface rust, etc.

Something does not sound right as others have said. There is no way that a loader only costs $1200 and the overall price sounds a bit high. Give Wallace Tractor a call or email, I doubt that you will be sorry that you do.;)

Well... doesn't this suck? I just read the thread from Wallace. Based on what I've read here, it's a big loss. Then I checked this thread and found yet another recommendation for me to contact him about a tractor. Too bad all around...
