Looking at a 2018 John Deere 2025r

Assuming it’s as good as it looks probably not a bad price. It’s basically brand new. You can do a build on the JD site and see what list price is new.

The 3038e listed above, went for 20k which seems reasonable to me. Could used prices be coming down?

I don't know about prices coming down, but that 3038E certainly would be a bargain in my local economy. That said, one should keep in mind it is an E; that doesn't make it bad or anything, it's just missing a lot of the ergonomics and whatnot of the R. It also helps to keep it in a reasonable price bracket.
