I'm looking at a 1996 New Holland 1720 w/ a 7308FEL & Woods 7500 Groundbreaker backhoe. It is a MFWD and has a 12/4 transmission. The 3 point arms, turnbuckles/etc. are missing. The Rear tires are really good shape and the front are 50%. It has 2000 hours but from the pictures & was e-mailed, it looks to be in fantastic shape.

The owner is asking $11K for the tractor. Does this seem like a good price? The tractor is about 300 miles away, so I would only drive to take a look if I was ready to make a deal.

Some additional information/questions:
The owner does not know much about it (or tractors) he got it as some part of an unrelated business deal. He said that that the tractor des have power steering. When asked about a live PTO he did not really know and when I described it he seemed to think that it was a live PTO (I think he is kind of guessing on this one).

Seems high to me.
I bought a 95 a little over two years ago, had 1600 hours on it; 7108 FEL and BushHog 765H included for $8,500.
PS yes; live PTO: I have heard it was an option but mine has it & my operating manual seems to read that it was standard.
I like mine, it's been reliable and does most anything I can realistically expect of it.
Mine doesn't have the optional draft control system though. It would make rear blade/implement work easier.
