Tractor
Kubota M6040HDC-1
Dealer delivered the M6040 late today, with a Landpride 6ft clipper and pallet forks. Had a chance to push up a brush pile and mow a weedy area that needed mowing. Have some more chores planned for tomorrow.

Just curious what you paid for the forks? Are they the Landpride 48"?

Thanks all, I appreciate it. I have bad allergies and asthma so I needed to get something with a cab. This is probably more tractor than I need, but it seemed to be the best deal all around.

It does have the hydraulic shuttle, and it has the self leveling loader valve. The pallet forks are Landpride 48". I'm don't remember the exact amount as they were part of the "deal". I'm thinking $650 was the price he said they usually get. I know forks can be bought cheaper, but wanted something pretty stout for handling pallets.

Snow isn't something we have to deal with down here. We get a sticking snow maybe once every 5 years or so. Usually the only winter weather we get is some freezing rain and sleet. It's been a cold winter so far this year, but we have escaped any freezing precipitation so far... (knocking on wood!)

That is a great looking tractor. You should be set for years to come. Congrats.

If you need me to break it in for you, just haul it over here to Texas and I'll take care of it. You can come back and pick it up in a few months. :D ;)

While I am in total agreement with the often repeated saying, "Bigger isn't always better, sometimes it's just bigger", I have also found through buying several, they seem to shrink once you get them home and start working, so it may turn out to be just right. We really like the hydraulic shuttle and comes pretty close to the HST in several areas as far as ease of use.
