Look what I drove today

As many of you know, I bought a Farmall H a few weeks ago. I had gone into the local Case/IH dealer to find out how friendly they would be about getting parts when I needed them, and the salesman and I decided we liked each other. We've been dating a couple weeks and today he asked if I wanted to drive a Magnum 305 (yes, 305 Hp for you Hp junkies) and of course I said, "Yes!". It is a two seater. First, he took it out on the road to show me how everything worked, then we turned around and went back to the dealership. We changed seats and I drove it out in the field for a little while. Well, next thing we know several county sherriffs cars pulled into the parking lot because they got a call that someone stole the tractor! Somehow I can't imagine someone even thinking they could steal something this size in the middle of Sunday afternoon, nor would most thieves return to the dealership, but that's inserting logic. I haven't laughed this hard since I don't know when. Never been pulled over for driving a tractor before either, especially in a field. I had a ball!

That is some rather serious hardware there. I do have to say I have used that line, but maybe I will try it. "Want to drive my 305?" Has sort of a ring to it.

He's not impressing her with HIS 305, he's impressing her with his BOSS' 305, that's even better!!!

It's a shame he didn't have some tillage equipment hooked to it and a field to work in, then you'd have really gotten to see what that tractor is made for.

The boss actually doesn't know how to operate any of the equipment and doesn't care to learn I guess. He just wants to sell them. This one is close to being sold I guess so I doubt I will get a chance to drive it again, but you never know. I believe the price is $185,000.

You should have asked the cops if they were "real" sherriff's deputies or if they were just out joyriding too?

That big red tractor looks like fun.

Yeah but then you would have to put the duals on for added traction and the moment would be lost

The least that they could have done was to bring coffee and donuts to the party....
