Received mine today and my initial opinion is it is really light big plus, second is the controls are back lit for easy viewing when making adjustments, comes standard with a grind mode big thumbs up the viewing area is large and very clear, the head gear is comfortable for me and what a really like, is the detent to help hold it up but is super easy to bring down for weld with no hands.
For a hood under $200 it is a awsome value

Do you happen to know how much the clear cover lens cost?

Not off the top of my head but it comes with 2 extra

I guess I'm still stuck in the 1970s far as cost for clear lenses! It aggravates the snot out of me to pay over 30-cents for a clear lens. Guess I'll stay old school! ;)

Looks nice but,I don't weld enough to justify a new hood so I guess for now I'm stuck with my $40 (on sale) H.F hood.

Pretty nice helmet !! But along with Stingray , I'll stick with my H.F. . In 5 years , I have put 2 batteries into it and replaced the headgear this past summer with I think a Jackson headgear that I got on Amazon for like $10 with free shipping . ( It was a return / used that had no cosmetic damage but was repackaged so thus " USED " ) .
They look pretty similar to the Miller elite models , My Brother has one of those . Never tried it .

Dang , if S.A.'s helmet could talk , The Stories it could tell !!!!

How does it compare to that Jackson Baldor in your pic?

My honest opinion in first impressions the Longevity is going to be better, it may be slightly lighter than the Jackson the view cartridge is easier to remove and it has grind mode
