Hi all,

So im a married 30 yr old guy who recently inherited about 12 acres of native and ex. cattle grazing land. We have a lot of varried work to do (grading, trenching etc.) to accomplish what we want im trying to find the right piece of machinery. Ive started by looking at a little bit older loader/excavator combos from case, jcb and the likes. I would like some opinions on these or other options you would think are worth considering. Also im wondering some of the things to be looking for with the equipment such as; What amout of hours start to be a bit high for these makes, what sort of heavy wear to look for, start up, idle, high revs?

Well i realize thats a lot to ask, but any input is appreciated,
thanks:tractor:

Welcome to TBN.

It might help some if people reading your post kinda knew where you were located.

Good luck in finding the 'right' equip. for your use. Most of us are still looking. :D

We found it to be much cheaper to pay for excavator and dozer work on larger projects or rent equipment rather than to spend the money on equipment for limited use projects.

It might be helpful to provide more specifics as to projects.
