Tiller Long Mod 1542 tiller problem

I've got a Long model 1542 6 ft tiller... Runs behind a New Holland 2120/43 hp.... Has worked great for 4-5 years... yesterday it started making noise when tilling then wouldn't rotate in ground,,, it will turn when out of ground.. Our mowers all have external shear pins, very easy to change.. Can't find an external shear pin on the tiller... Does It have one? where is it and how do you access?

I haven't opened up gear box until I get some advice?? How about a manual, any one got one or site where I can get one.

I have this exact problem. I have obtained a manual for the Long 1542 tiller, but haven't taken the tiller apart yet. Are one of the nuts that hold the tine assembly shaft left-hand thread?

If I need parts (gear and pinion), do I have a chance of finding them?

I have a couple of questions, 1) Did you find the service or the parts manual?, and 2)if it's the service manual, may I ask where you got it? I need one, but all I can find is the parts manual.
