Long Argibusiness and others HELP!

In my limited shopping so far, I have found the Century 2535 with C-50 loader to be about $4,000 less than the most equivalent New Holland TC35 (synchro geared, non-hydro) with loader.

In a test drive of two Century models (2535 and 3040), I thought they were quality machines. I like the layout of the controls a bit better on the Century, but I like the New Holland, too.

I stopped at a Mahindra dealer once (when he was not open) and looked them over. They are an interesting contender as well, but I think I like the Century better. I haven't priced the Mahindra.

It's hard to know for sure what brands will last and what ones will not. It wasn't that many years ago that some folks thought Kubota was an "off-brand."

I your case, the used TC35D you are considering may have enough off the price to make it competitive. If I were paying new prices, a difference of $4,000 would make up my mind in a hurry.

I have a New Holland 555E that I works really hard. It also breaks on a regular basis due to age and work load. Parts are all from Europe. My starter is from one of the new Slavia countries. Prices aren't bad, service is within a few days, but sometimes it does take a week or two.

When looking at small tractors I steered away from NH due to the ownership of FIAT. I hate the cars they make, and thought I'd get better service from some of the other brands.

New Holland owns Fiat, or is that the other way around? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I never knew one owned the other. When did that happen? I'm curious, what do their cars have to do with the service from New Holland?
