Long 7170 disk mower clogging

I've got a Long 7170 disk mower that keeps clogging in heavy grass. It starts over at the end by the vertical disk that gathers the hay (hay guide). I'm thinking of drilling new holes and swinging the hay guide over a few inches.
Anyone with experience on this model or others clogging?

No, I don't have the means to do that.
The hay seems to get caught on the vertical disk that pushes the hay toward the middle. also, the pole that holds up the curtain assembly contributes. I may just remove the vertical disk.
