Buying Advice Long 460DT

Hello. First time on this site. I am looking at a 1982 Long 460DT with a loader and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. I need a reliable tractor. The tractor has 3700 hours and looks to be in good shape. The price is in my range and I want a tractor that can do some heavier work than most of the smaller, newer tractors can handle. Any experience anyone can give me with Long tractors would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I've had mine for almost a year now. I use it for everything; mowing fields, moving material, hauling logs, etc.. It certainly is solidly built. Parts are readily available online if anything should go bad.
The rear lift might give you problems sometimes and not work. It's not broken, just the pilot valve is very sensitive to any sort of crud in the hydro fluid.
If the price is right, buy it.
