Similar terrain here in the mountains of Tennessee. I use a Norwegian made skidding winch on my tractor....Igland brand. Well made piece of equipment.

The 3601 is a nice winch, I'm trying to find a newer winch but prices on many of them are so high that it makes no sense vs buying a brand new. Looking at Igland 3001\3201 or 4001\4201 or the type you have. Today I have a Sandvik\norse 3081 from before Igland took over the production.

A tough site for sure. Also that is a very clever way to post a bunch of pics. Easy to view and it doesn't mess up the page format. Just how do you do that?

Nothing like being your own rigging rat. Log like a farmer or farm like a logger are a couple terms that come to mind. Your use of suspension and blocks is commendable. All in all, the most dangerous piece of equipment in the woods is a farm tractor..... 'just sayin. Coast range of Oregonnnnnnnnn
