Log splitters?

I really can't find a good category this should fall under, but this is close enough. Does anyone have any good sources for buying either new or used (preferably) log splittlers? I am in Georgia. Thanks!

You might try doing a search on this site. This topic has been discussed quite a bit, not only buying new units but building them from scratch.

I bought mine from Northern Tools. Runs off tractor hydraulic and works vertical or horizontal. It's a beast....very heavy!

I bought my slightly used Yard Machines (MTD) 26-ton splitter on eBay about 2 years ago. I've split 150 cords of hardwood without any major problems. But buying on eBay requires that you really know what you're looking at and a lot of patience.

Brianz - A couple options, first check the market bulletin. It seems like these are log splitters for sale every issue. You usually get a good honest deal from there, I just bought a finsih mower used. Also I noticed a gas powered - hydraulic splitter on the way home tonight, for sale in cumming georgia. Looks pretty used from driving by, but looks aren't everything as long as the hydraulics are tight. Let me know if you might be interested and I will get you the telephone number.
