Log splitter

FYI the Wallenstein uits are pretty well built. I have the WX310 and it works great for me. I especially like the accessory 4 way wedge and the fact that it pushes the wood rearward to split on the stationary wedge. This keeps the wood moving away from the tractor which I inch forward as the wood builds up.

Picture of casters and shelf I welded to the legs. Works well. Legs needed to be shortened about 3 inches so it wasn't too low to the ground. Never loaded a picture in a post before so hopefully it shows up.

I like that. With the casters and shelf. I may do the same with mine. Thanks for the idea!!

I now have a few hours on the splitter and I did reroute the hydraulics to use the power beyond hose connection. I use a 1/2 inch female to hook up to the power beyond. I talked to JD dealer and he said that will work fine it is keeping the 3 point control inline with the log splitter. i noticed the hydraulic lines flex a little when I use the FEL, but no problems. Very happy with that part. Still working out how I plan on moving it around in the garage. I have a moving dolly built for 1100 LBS and I did bolt some lumber on to the splitter in place of the legs. It keeps the weight of the splitter lower to the ground. I then just set it on the dolly. and roll it away.
