Hey guys...browsed this site many times for info...now I need some specific information!
I haven't started it yet, as the guy said the engine's carb is all screwed up...I have another engine I was just going to throw on it off a snow blower (with electric start!! =) )
I bought a used homemade log splitter. This uses a big cylinder off some implement, the plate is covered, so I'm not sure of the size. However my question is about the hydraulic filter. The pump is a 2 stage 11gpm pump. The filter that was put on it was is on the suction side of the reservoir between that and the pump. The problem I'm seeing is that according to the website on about the filter, its rated at 5gpm on the suction side, and 25gpm on the filter side.
With the above info, does that mean that the filter is really limiting the pump??? While I was changing the engine, I can "fix this" however..not sure if I was correct in my thinking or am way off
thanks ahead
