Log splitter finally finished

I noticed your splitter pushes the log into the wedge, while mine pushes the wedge
into the log up against a large backplate.

Are there advantages to one way or the other? Which works better when you get down to the end
and still have to yank the thing apart?

I've thought of adding the four way wedge to mine; Speeco makes a light duty one folk keep putting on their big splitters and wonder why
they bend..., and then a HD model for the 30+ton models.
If a four way wedge would easily be changed, I'd love to have one, but I deal in so many different sized logs that if the switchover means unbolting, forget it. Kinda neat if the four way wedge just slid out of the way until needed...
Or popped up from the bottom like on the big wood processors.

But I bet you have some more ideas for your splitter. Nice work.

Thanks guys!
daugen, there is no pulling apart of the logs at the end, my pusher almost goes to the wedge. There are those that will argue wedge on beam versus wedge on pusher. I like it this way, I have an out feed table and then into the dump trailer, no bending over to pick up splits and the log lift is a must have now.
My brother and I are searching for a conveyor then it will be right into the dump trailers.
