Locust Post/Rail Splitter

I have searched to no avail to find hydraulic splitter to use to lessen the chore of splitting fence posts and rails. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

I have experience in hand splitting, but there has to be an easier and faster method.

Maybe someone has custom fabricated one?

Up here [NY] locust splits the best in cold weather. No leaves. bcs

My dad would use his "old" chainsaw to cut the big telephone/electric poles into halves & quarters. It wasn't a speedy task.. but it worked. Wonder if you could convert a post driver.. into a post splitter?
