Have any of you you had the cable freeze up that is used to lock and
unlock the snow blower from the raised position?
I suppose if it happens again I could get a complete control cable
from Reid Supply if it happens again.
I ordered a new one today an I hope I can replace it myself anyway.
Hopping off the mule to pull the pin out and to raise it and lower it will get
awfully old quick.
I even go to the extent of heating the mule up with a salamader for
20 to 30 minutes just so it frees everyiing up and warms the transmission and engine oil.
I did notice that it is impossible to lubricate the little beasty.
The ghost of worn out plastic chutes has come to visit as well and I have to layer
up duct tape to keep it from coating me in snow dust anymore.
I know you get what you pay for but I would have thought that RAD would have
made a metal chute as these things also fit the bigger green mules.
I planned on lining the snow blower with slick sheet material and wil probably bite the bullet and
spend the money on a left over piece of slick sheet and spend as much in freight to have it shipped
here as well.
I priced the new series one mules with three rear remotes, loader and no mower a couple of weeks ago and
the payments would be $275 +- with the zero percent sales promotion.
The Yanmar engines are detuned/timing advanced Per EPA tier three and four and blessed with the three cylinder rattle hence the
thick rubber mats on the floor.
It is always something I guess.
