Local equipment auction finds

Went to the local monthly equipment auction at Rogers, Ohio last nite. I found a New Holland 402 crimper and a Massey Ferguson model 41 dyna balance mower there in the last rows to be auctioned off. At 10 PM many buyers had left and I got the sickle bar mower for $200, and the crimper ( in fairly good condition) for $100... And here I was going to drive down to Ken Sweet's to picK up one of his model 41 mowers. Not too far out of way, wife is from Louisville, KY. The mower is pretty good condition and just needs one lift pin, a little cleanup, greasing and it should be ready to use. Then this fall I could wirebrush it down and paint...
Now, if I had another 800 to a 1000 bucks avail.(which I did not) I could have picked up a NH 277 baler in great condition. The owner was retiring and selling his equipment...Looking it over, everything was tight and no play in the flywheel and plunger portion. Darn, I wish I was rich!!

All in all, I think I did great.:thumbsup: As soon as the battery finishes chargeing for the camera, I will take some photos...and that because I know the mantra,,,It did not happen if no pics!!!:laughing:

Here are the photos I promised. Been busy. Waiting for son to take them off. I have sore back and not to
move anything heavy. After 2 months, I want it healed...so following Dr. advise...Cant wait till I can get
them ready for use. Got manuals on order...for both pieces of equipment..

Oh, before I forget. the crimper is a model 401 not a 402,,the tag is painted and I
could not read it correctly. Still nice piece of equipment in fairly good condition

I love auctions !! Good finds there. I got this today at one, for $35, figured it was worth that even if I don't have a garden, I'll have to find some use for it.
