JD 1250 2wd- Terramite t6- ford naa-
I'm up in the air with which one to buy. The 110 or l39 I would love to find someone local to pick there brain and try. I have a t9 terramite and a 1250 JD tractor and just want one machine for all. If anybody lives nearby let me know Thanks .

Tough call, I looked at both when I was buying and finally picked the 110. They are both good units though, I prefered the large tires on the 110 as I recall and really liked JD's creep to reposition setup. Bought mine in Feb. 2005 so after six years and about 800 hrs I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I recommend anyone buying a 110 get all the hydraulic options from the start. I opted for the top n tilt 3 pt hitch, 7 function hoe and everything else except a radio. I also added the Laurin cab to the deal and financed it all with Deere.

I did a fair bit of research on this before I recently bought my 110 (Thou In Australia Kubota dont bring in a large range).

My take is it depends on what hydro system you like, followed closely by the quality of your dealer. Both machines are top shelf.

Cheers

I thought the L48 (now L45) was a closer comparison to the JD 110. The L39 seemed a bit on the small side... when I was lookin' at TLB's.

This next month it will be 3 years and 800 hours.

It's done everything I've needed and then some.

Get all the options - even the stabilizer shields.

I will use hoe and 3pt 50/50 but with my 1250 jd tractor I skid some big trees out of the woods 1/4 to 1/2 a mile will the jd110 hold up to that with the hydro trans?

How big of a tree are you talking about?

I have never had the ehydro system run hot at all. But I would assume there is a tree out there that could make it overheat.

red\white oak=pine. The biggest is 24"-30" and 16-18 ft long the tractor with a homemade hitch on the back can pull a couple of them (on flat ground) one log on the hills. I know a skidder could perform the task allot better but I only do this about ten times a year.

I don't think a 110 would have any problems handling logs of that size.

I would love to have some good white oak to work with.

I have a alaskan chainsaw mill I use on them. I only cut dead timber for the wood and what is to small for boards go to firewood. I do have some pretty step ground i run on and know i will need some spacers and tires filled for what i want to do.

If you are using a 110tlb with filled rear tires that might be too much weight when using the hoe to cross over a ditch. I would check this out with the dealer to be sure first. I do not have extra ballast on my 110 for this reason.
