I am still "shopping" for the "perfect" tractor for me, still an xx10D, about decided to move from the 15010D to the 1610D (thanks, Tom). and perhaps up to a 2210D. I would like to get a loader but won't use it all that much. Do you guys take them off (many threads indicate hours to install/uninstall /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif ), or leave them on? I see Koyker ads for "easy on/off", any experience here? I will mostly be cutting grass and tilling.

Koyker makes a nice loader with mounting kits to fit many of the Yanmars. They will come off easier if you use quick connecters on the valve supply hoses when it is installed. Other than that, there would be no resaon for it to take a long time to remove. I think most folks leave thier loaders on most of the time.

I don't know about others. I have a quickly demountable loader and rarely use that feature. I've taken my loader off exactly once in 20 years. It probably wasn't necessary even then. When I had a tractor without a quick detatch loader and wanted additional clearance, I just pulled the pins to drop the bucket and raised the arms straight up. That seemed to work out just as well.

I have never even thought about removing it in yrs.
Just remove the bucket like Roger says.
