Hi, I am hoping someone can help me understand this. My tractor has a loader but no remotes. It has a loader valve installed like shown in this document.

From what I can tell the loader valve has a power beyond kit installed. I don't understand why the power beyond kit was added without any rear remotes or back hoe on the tractor, perhaps for ease of adding remotes later? I would like to add rear remotes and I was hoping that because it appears a power beyond kit is installed, perhaps adding remotes would be simplified? I don't know anything about hydraulics.

According to the power beyond kit installation instructions, the hose on the (out) port of the loader valve has been re-positioned to the loader valve BYO, then a new hose was added from the out on the loader valve to what is being called the "T" port of tractor hydraulic block.

Am I making the correct assumption that now the line from the loader BYO port is now pressurized and to add a remote I interrupt this line with quick connects or a block of valves? In other words to add remotes, do I come out of the tractor block PYB to a valve or remote disconnect then go from the remotes/valve out back to the PBY port on the loader valve? Perhaps I only need two hoses and disconnects to run a 3 pt log splitter?

Thanks so much for the help

With Kind Regards

Ray

The PB port does have the PB adapter installed, correct.

You do want to use the loader PB line to supply the remotes.

Your remotes should also have a PB adapter installed and that line will go to the 3pt in circuit.

All OUT ports go to tank.

Thank you! But I am a bit confused on the "3 point in circuit", is that the same as the hydraulic block PB port? so is this correct and I am not sure on the second and third one:

Loader PB line>remote valves
Remote valves PB adapted port> tractor hydraulic block PB port assuming this is the 3 point in circuit.
Out ports>not sure what my options are here to get to the tank? I am hoping I don't have to go back to the block.

Is it possible one of the two closed ports in the center of the loader ports could Internally join with the return to keep me from having to T into the return on the hydraulic block if there aren't any other return options?

Thanks again

The two hex plugs in the center of the valve are load checks.

The hex screw I believe is to cause flow to be diverted to the loader.

They didn't mentioned a PB ad apter, but the loader valve must have something to send fluid downstream for the remotes or the 3pt.

Maybe then, the hyd block sends the fluid to the 3pt.

All tank ports can be teed together.

I am thinking you disconnect the line going to the 3pt and insert the remote valve in series with the remote valve PB adapter connecting to the 3pt input.

Then set the remote relief same as the loader relief pressure.

The PDF did not say what the loader relief should be, but did say not to adjust it

You also have a lift port relief set at 4000 psi. This comes into play with the loader valve lever in neutral.

Thanks J.J., I will think on this and see if I can put together a diagram. It might help me understand all this.

Here are two diagrams. I tried to layout the standard and new circuit. I think the standard is correct but I am not sure if the remote mod is properly diagrammed. I sure would appreciate any suggestions.

The diagrams appear to be correct.

Have you did the mod or is this your plan?

Set your reliefs the same.

Thanks JJ, I am in the planning stages. First I wanted to understand the high level concept, then I will start planning the parts I will need o get a good idea on the cost. I need to start learning about the types of fittings Required to bring it all together. They seem quite confusing. I also plan on asking my dealer if the tractor has any rear-located tank ports. Near my 3 pt top link there seems to be a plug that could make it easy to plumb the "t" return. Thanks for the help, and if I can ask on the valve.. I am planning on a prince stack 8gpm. Standard spring to center 3 pos for top. For tilt I was thinking of the same valve but with float so I can float the tilt on my box blade or sring it to center to hold the tilt. For the last valve I was thinking of the 3 pos with detent for constant flow for a wood splitter or motor of some type. Do these choices make logical sense?

With kind regards

Your choice of the valve spools is good.

Make sure to get the PB adapter also.

That's odd. I have never seen us NOT put the relief pressure in the manual. It's not on the spec page like it usually is....
