Loader Valve Is Restricting Flow--Need advice

I can pull the cap off the spools and see if that allows any more travel in the lift up and curl in directions.
The spool travel for lift down and curl out probably won't change however since the spool traveling beyond those functions goes into float and regen respectively.
I'm thinking that the tolerances for the valve casting and spool land spacings are so tight that the tiniest out of tolerance on the casting would severely impact the flow past the spool.
When considering that the spool only travels 7/32" total for the curl in, curl out and neutral positions, that figures only about 0.070" travel for each position--barely 1/16'.
Seems like a casting core shifted just a few thou could start changing things, for example.

Edit: I believe system relief is set at 2200 PSI on the Mahindra and the loader valve relief checked approx 2000 PSI.

I bought the loader direct from Westendorf. I get the feeling that most of their sales are direct but I do know for sure.

I looked and the Nimco valve that I have is 12455-2S CV112. The curl spool travel is approximately 3/8" total or 3/16" each way from center. When I purchased my tractor with this valve the joy stick knuckle assembly was a ball of rust that I have to work free.

That's interesting! Does the valve have float and regen?

Float yes, regen no.

I didn稚 measure the lift spool travel but it looked very similar to curl.

Good news! I found (per your suggestion) that loosening the end cap for the curl spool gives enough additional spool travel to nearly double the curl-in speed. Seems that one turn loose of the capscrew makes all the difference.
It has been taking about 19 seconds at low idle (1000 RPM) to curl-in but that time drops to 11 seconds at one turn loose and about 5 seconds at high idle (3000 RPM)

I now see that there is some casting flash down inside the cap. (see pic) The flash seems to be shiny indicating that the end of the spool retainer is contacting it. Will remove the flash and see if that fixes it. Otherwise can shim or remove about 1/32" to get the equivalent of half of turn on the #10-32 screws.

Will report back. Meanwhile want to thank you again for suggesting to check the end cap!!!!!

Is the spool movement greater in one direction versus the other? I.e. example: Curl is 1/8" dump is 1/4"

The movement is about the same with the screws slightly loosened--about 1/8" each direction of the curl. The lift spool has a total of maybe 1/32" more.

Is the centering spring captive on the end of the spool? If yes how much is this spring compressed when you install the end cap?

Yes, the spring is captive and about 1/2" of preload.
