Anybody have an idea why my loader suddenly won't go up or down? I put the lever in the up position and I hear a whine like the pump is working but something is holding it back from moving. It also won't go down. The bucket works fine.
Thanks for any help.

First thing is to check your hose connections to be sure they are connected right.

I have not knowingly done anything to the loader...I have not touched the hoses at all. It just seems like it is stuck. It can't be locked in position can it?
Thanks
Bob

First of all, I assume you own a kubota since you posted in the kubota forum.

But do you can to enlighten us as to what model???

I know on my L3400, the lock position locks the joystick. IF I lock it, you cannot move the joystick. So I doubt that is your problem.

As others have mentioned, check the hoses. More specifically the quick connections up there at the joystick. Sometimes these come unseated and the loader wont function.

It only takes one of them to be unhooked. Because it needs them BOTH for the lift/lower function to work. Because one would be the return and the other supply when raising. Then reversed when lowering. The fluid has to be able to get TO the cylinder, as well as be able to return back.

Try this and report back.

I took your suggestion and did check the lines. Some how when I was changing the engine oil I did some how disconnect one of the line and did not notice it.
Thanks for your common scene suggestion.
