Loader Height Help

One of the safety warning decals on my BX2200 shows the loader up in the air contacting electrical wires. I can't seem to get the loader that high in the air. Can someone help? I of course don't want to hit electrical wires, but I would like to have the loader bucket 16 feet in the air when pushing down trees. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

The warning is for areas that have much lower electrical lines. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

But if you really want to raise the loader height, you could always use the old trick that lots of people use to dump in a truck that's too tall - ramps.

I'm not sure how bigger trees you are planing to push down but be very careful.
Don't forget the base for the tree also the root system will pop up,and the last thing you would want damage under your tractor or yourself.
When I remove a 6" tree or bigger I cut about 2 to 3 feet from the base, than I can use the front loader or chain to remove the stump.
Just about every tree has what we call a willow make limb,so once again please be careful.

Electirc lines warning,that warning also for buried under ground electric lines as well.
If you can raise your bucket high enough to touch above ground lines than you need to call your locate power company and have your lines bought up to code to your weather head.

Thomas, I guess you're talking about what I've always heard called a "widow maker" limb./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif None of them have made a widow of my wife yet, but I've been slapped around a few times by some of them./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

A number of years ago people starting growing weeping willow trees,and after having the willows for years people wanted them remove for they always seem to be dropping limbs,also the tree may look go but a good strong wind seem to break them in half or up root them.
Many people were hurt removing the weeping willow tree and some of the people did weep after being hurt,so I guess the name caught on if you got hurt while removing a tree....willow maker.
I guess one could call it that good old yankee humor.

) Yes your right Bird about the widow maker,for thats another term thats used,and I hope it doesn't happen to any of us.
