I've got one on mine and it continues to amaze me. I love it.
No problems at all, but you will need some weight on the back to balance it.

We've got a loader on our bx1500. It works great. I highly recommend one. The loader comes off and on pretty quick (after you have done it a few times). We got our bx1500 with the loader. The main purpose for our tractor is to move dirt and chips, which it does very well. It is amazing how much dirt this little thing can move.

Definitely look into ballast. Using a FEL with out sure gets the pucker factor going. They should put this warning up front in the FEL manual in big letters. It's in there but buried in all the other warnings.

I can't say enough good things about this tractor and FEL. I kind of look at the tractor as the accessory to the FEL.

Hope this helps.

One more thing.

I highly recommend a tooth bar. We got one from ATI that fits perfectly. It only needs 2 holes drilled in the bucket and comes on and off nicely.

A tooth bar really makes a difference when digging in dirt and chips. When digging into a pile of dirt, I like to have the tooth bar off since a little bit always gets hung up on the tooth bar.

I love the loader!!! Have not used it much yet as I just got it this fall. I moved some railroad ties with it and some sand.

I purchased the RBC60 woods rear blade as ballast. Works great and I get the added benefit of using it for snow removal.

You will love the bucket.

The BX1500 is an over-priced lawn ornament without the loader! I use the loader for everything - loading firewood, moving rocks, leveling dirt, moving chips and topsoil, pushing snow off mine and all my neighbors' driveways, carrying tools and junk around, etc. You Definitely need some ballast on the back if carrying 400lbs of dirt. It can be Very Tippy on any type of slope with weight in the loader so be very careful.

Have you considered looking at the woods 1005 Estate Series loader? It looks good and will be less expensive than the LA181 especially since you already have the tractor. I found out the hard way that if you plan to purchase a Kubota loader in a year or two just bite the bullet and get it with the tractor.
It costs a lot less when you get it as part of the tractor package.

The loader is one of the best features of the BX1500. I have only had my setup a few months but so far have done major landscape of my entire lawn (new house). Hauled loads of fill, retaining wall blocks, etc.. Worked great for moving heavy boxes of stuff from the garage to the walkout basement. The latest task was unloading a 375lb table saw from my friends pickup.

It's an amazine setup for it's small size!

I also agree that it needs serious weight to balance most anything one would place in the loader. Without it you get a very interesting ride, especially if you have some hills like I do.
