Loader Fittings ID

Hi All - first post here, been lurking for a while. I've been fitting a Hymari FEL to my Iseki TX2140 Compact tractor. I'm completely stumped by the hydraulic fitting on the loader spool. Can anyone help me ID it? Cheers Andrew

It might be JIS Metric, not to be confused with JIS BSP. M18x1.5.

The rounded tip is throwing me a little bit off because JIS uses a 37 degree taper to seal. Is the hose end also rounded?

That's why many of us go to local hydraulic stores, they may charge more but there are several fittings that are ALMOST the same. But need to be exactly the same.

There is also a standard that uses 30 degree cone that looks similar to JIC 37 degree cone. It is JIS 30 degree with parallel pipe threads

1/4” size 1/4-19 thd 13.2 mm OD
3/8” size 3/8-19 thd 16.7 mm OD

Are you getting hoses made to attach to that fitting? If so I'd remove that elbow and see what the valve body connection is, hopefully SAE/O-Ring Boss. That way you can use a standard ORB<>JIC elbow and use hoses with JIC end.

The valve body could also be BSPP. Less common in the US, but you can get BSPP<>JIC elbows.

My Bulldozer has fittings like that for steel lines with double swage, they are more forgiving for lining up when fitting. If you are fitting "hose" change the fitting to suit hydraulic hose fittings.

Thanks all for the advice. I did take it to a hydraulics shop and sorted half of it. The valve body was metric so we screwed in Metric BSP adapters and solved that.

I think the Metric thread probably makes them JIS, but doesn't explain the rounded head, however it does seem to seal on the normal straight flare on the last hose that came with it.
