Kubota 2910
I traded my 7500 for a 2910 which I love.... But the dump cylce on the loader takes twice as long as the 7500. Is there anything I can do to speed it up ?

Never used a 7500, but my 2710 is as fast as any of the other tractors I've ever used. Are you talking about just the bucket roll function by itself, or are you raising and rolling at the same time? If you do both at the same time, the bucket roll is considerably slower.

Have you checked to be sure the quick couplers are properly seated?

You might lower the loader, stop the engine, move the lever in all directions to relieve pressure, then unplug and reseat the couplers again.

To get the most assistance, it would help to further define exactly which action is slow in case the above does not resolve your problem.

The roll function itself is whats slow. When I dump it seems to take forever, and just as long curling back up.This is while sitting still dumping only.

just a thought-check your 3ph and ensure it's not consuming hydraulic fluid power. I had a ford which much have been old or misadjusted-when the 3ph was in the highest position, it would continue to draw fluid, thereby slowing loader performance. It was something a trained ear could hear.

I am not sure about your model of tractor buy my L3400 has a fast dump position. To use it move the dump lever to just the beginning of the dump function. I think you should feel a detent there also. Moving the lever all the way to the dump position (all the way to the right) is the normal dump but just at the very beginning of that is a high speed dump, on my tractor anyway. It can be tricky to find sometimes, especially when using it repeatedly when doing something like plowing snow, so you may need to try it a couple of times.

Good luck!

Do all Kubota's have a fast dump cycle? I can't find it in my manual, but I'm going to try and find it after the kids go to bed.

Mine does not, so not all Kubota's have the fast dump.
Fast dump is a regenerative function, which is really cool for some things.

They apply pressure to both sides of the cylinder piston which effectively reduces the piston area to be equal to the rod area. But it only works in one direction. And although it is faster, it is weaker, which matters little when dumping.

It's also a handy trick for some air rams, but sometimes when I use it, it's scary fast, making a 3000lb weight fall faster than free fall. I once was directed to make an air ram move as fast as possible by corporate. I checked...really?! No limit?! Faster the better was their reply.

They were shocked and a bit frightened by the result!!!

Hi guys,
the speed of the 2910 is slower than the 7500. you are probably so used to the 7500 speed that it does seem slow. I know they are different because when I bought my 7500, I was amazed how fast it was compared to a compact Ford I was running!
If you check Kubota's website and check the specs of different tractor, you'll see that they have different lift speeds and different roll back and dump speeds.
