Does the joystick move freely until the spring hits the valve body?

Does the other spool stem spin? or is it tight?

joystick moves just fine. no stiffness or much slop at all. The other spool doesn't have a stem that sticks out beyond the spring. The spring is basically pined between the valve body and the cap on the other spool.

curious... can you manually push the spring up against the valve body? and does that center the joystick?

If you are sure there is nothing that can be tightened up on the bottom of the spool then the issue must be in the cable connection...

I'm very much thinking its on the cable side, given what I'm seeing. Both springs are the same size, and the shaft goes all the way through the valve body to the cable side. That being said, I'm not sure how to take the thing apart to see how its connected. There are nuts on the ends of the cables, but removing those didn't seem to do anything. I may be calling the dealer for this one. . .

Turns out it was in fact the cables, and they are not adjustable. So it was a cable replacement to repair. . .
