Another thread got me to post this and last night I was thinking why there is even a load match button. Seems to me it should just be on at all times. Do any of you ever turn it off, I don't and just wondered what applications would be an instance where you would not need it? Let's hear some, maybe I am doing this all wrong but it seems to me you got it, so turn it on and use it.

I turn mine off when I'm pulling it out of the garage and don't want to make a ton of noise. With the load match on the tractor crawls if the ac switch is on and the rear finish mower attached, unless I bump up the rpm's above 1500 or so. If the kids or wife are in the garage at the time I just don't like to make that much noise. It's a lower garage with concrete walls and concrete docks planking above(no sound absorption). Also I've notice sometimes it messes with the cruise control when mowing on hills. The tractor tries to keep a steady speed but the motion match won't let it bog the engine down. So off it goes. No big deal.

I leave Load Match on most of the time. It takes a lot of concentration to do as well manually under variable and heavy pulling conditions, but it is fun to try and I am getting better. In general I would rather keep my attention on the job and let the tractor figure out how to get the most efficient pulling power.

I turn the load match off when I am spraying. I don't have auto cruise on the non-cab model, and while spraying, it will keep a more constant speed without having the engine really reving.

I also turn it off on the road, ussually gets me about 1-2 mph.

I leave it off most of the time. I don't like the sensation of the tractor speeding up and slowing down based on how hard the tractor is being used. Go up a slight hill and it slows down more than I think it should and opposite going down hill. I do like it mostly for FEL work but otherwise I leave it off.

Well I am going to try it a little without it just to see. I turned it off yesterday when I was coming out of the yard and had it in high range. When I took off it bogged right off the bat so I turned it back on. I will do a little experimenting with it and see what I can figure out. I have honestly never turned it off till yesterday and for maybe 5 seconds.

With it off, ease down on the pedal to get going in B or C range, don't stomp on it. If it bogs down ease up a little (that is what load match would have done automatically).

I leave it on most of the time but haven't been super impressed with it. It does work somewhat but if I'm mowing and start to go up a hill the engine will still slow way down unless I back off the hydro. Seems like it should be much more pro-active and not let the RPMS drop nearly as much. Maybe it's not intended to work for a steady hydro/throttle setting.

I do notice it if I compare dropping the hydro with and without it on. With it on it 'ignores' most of my pedal movement. Slows down but won't stall.

Has anyone had a problem with their e-hydro type tractor not moving forward or backwards with its load match on at its lowest rpm?
