LK3054 Rear Electrical Connector

If you look down below in that picture there is a smaller round plug... it will plug into that larger plug on the bracket. Do you have a picture of what yours looks like? I included a picture and circled what I was talking about.

That looks like the one on my tractor. Do the newer Kioti's come with both styles? I cut that one off of my tractor and replaced it with a standard trailer 4 prong.

All new kiotis should be coming with that bracket and the bigger round black plug in that plugs into that smaller round one.

Jon,

I was away for a while, and I'm just getting back to this - I read the thread again, and now I'm a bit confused again! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Does the adaptor you mentioned plug into the big socket on the back of the tractor? I'm assuming not as that's not what you circled in the second picture? I'd be happy with any plug-in solution that would allow me to avoid cutting the wires (I'm good with wiring, I'd just rather not alter it).

We had a riding ring roughed in, and now I have a lot of work to do finishing it up. I'm realizing that I probably don't have enough daylight hours to accomplish it - so I'm going to need better lighting. I'd like to make up a nice harness to plug into an existing connector, even if it's not the one on the back.

Well all new Kiotis have that big round black connector with the little flap on it (which is a 7-pin style I think.) All the older ones have that little round plug that I circled in the second picture. If you have one of the older ones you just need that bigger round one and plug it into the smaller one circled in the second picture. The adapter sitting on top the tractor (above the big black connector with the flap) plugs into lager outlet with the flap and you can wire it how needed. That bigger round one with the flap being a 7-pin you should be able to get other adapters from any good trailer shop to plug into the big round outlet and adapt it to 4-flat or however you might need...... I hope I made sense.... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

OK, I get it now! I'll go looking for a mate to it - I saw some that looked close in various catalogs, but that can be deceiving so I wasn't sure. Thanks again!

I picked up a 7 pin to 4 pin (flat plug) connector at a truck body shop here locally for about $11.00. The dealer sells utility truck bodys, trailers, hitches, etc., and had a wide selection of addaptors and connectors. Worth calling around to see if you can get an adaptor w/out having to rewire.
