Lk 3054 seal leaking

Has anyone had problems with the seals leaking on the front final drive. My dealer has ordered just about every seal you could find on the fron axle and yet to get the right. Part. I have gone as far as taken the faulty seal into the parts department and they verified via pictures online that it was correct but every time its nowhere close to the right size. Most times its not even the same part in the photos. Im getting ready to dump this machine over the inability to get parts in a timely manner. Maybe i have an odball machine but the dealership can never get the parts right the first or many times the 2nd time . I am sick of kioti

Take the seal to a bearing place and they will get you a good one. I agree Kioti parts are somewhat ridiculous.

Most seals will have a number on then you can use to find one that works.

Thats typically what i would do, but this seal was shredded on top its all plastic and no discernable markings

Looking at the parts manual there is only one seal listed for the bottom of the bevel gear case; T2440-43532 although there are three "O" rings in the assembly

Part 10 they have ordered this its too big

That's the seal I referred to; there is no updated seal in the manual ?????

I think it there parts network it took 3 water pumps to get the proper one for this same machine the dealer is very reliable, but did indicate they have issues getting kioti parts for older equipment

Item 21 O-ring seal is typically what fails due to mud and debris. Make sure groove is clean and no nicks. Re assemble with tacky grease to assure o-ring stays in place. Suggest using John Deere front axle oil 85w-90 it has good ability to resist moisture intrusion. Water pump typically goes out on the LK around 1200 hours depending if antifreeze is was flushed every two years. You will find kubota water pump has same fitment if the LK if it is a pre 1997 after 98 things changed on the motor for increased horsepower. I owned LK3054 for 18 Years tough tractor no frills. I had more electrical issues due poor electrical connections not sealed.

I had a 92 LK3054 and I replaced those seals and o-rings for leaking. The new seals didn't last long before they leaked again. My dealer at the time stated it was a poor design that they copied from Kubota. That being said, many Kubota parts interchange with Kioti of that era so you may want to try a Kubota seal. I had my LK3054 for 20+ years and it could handle anything I through at it. My neighbor owns it now. Tough as ****.
