LK-30 under 100 hours. Been working it last 2 days everything fine, working perfect, no noises, no smells.

Park it for about a 3 hours today get back on it and it will not move out of its tracks.

When I let the clutch up it will barely engage just rocking the tractor on its wheels but never moving. Again no noises (like a busted clutch or pressure plate) No smells like a burning clutch. Its just like the clutch isnt engageing just barely touching.

Checked the rods nothing bent or broken ajusted the clutch rod, could maybe get just a little more engagement, but still not enough to move it out of its tracks.

Confusing because it was working fine when I parked it.

Any ideas. I can send it back to the dealer but Im right in the middle of a sewer system and my dealer is slow as dirt.

Thanks!

The tractor has a 2 stage clutch. Engage the PTO and let the clutch out and see if the PTO runs with the pedal out and stops with the pedal in.

When you adjusted the clutch, you should have about 3/4" free-play in the clutch pedal. At the 3/4", you should be able to control the PTO with the second stage of the clutch.

Checking the PTO function will help narrow down the possibilities.

I'll check the PTO when I get on site today. Any idea one way or the other? Anything you know of that can be looked at or done without breaking the tractor in 2?

I adjusted the clutch rod till there was no more adjustment pretty sure its not out of adjustment.

Weird, If you were getting nothing I'd say your were neutral on either the transfer case or the transmisstion.

I can't believe it would have anything to do with adjustment, unless something came loose.

I agree that it makes no sense it worked prior to parking and then basically not at all.

I wonder if something has contaminated your clutch?? Oil or the like, not sure how, as there is not much of anything I can think of in the housing near the clutch.

Can you see anthing through the site plate, held on with two bolts on the side of the case? I wonder if throw out is hung up somehow.

Makes absolutely no sense that adjustment has anything to do with it to me.

I've got almost 300 hours on my clutch and works as it did at 150 hours (when I purchased), which works as good as new (based on what I know).

I am really surprised that you are not smelling anything if it is rocking but not moving, you'd expect to not only smell but see clutch disk smoke if it was slipping with that few hours.

Man, a video shore would help.

With those hours just let the dealer sort out.

Good luck,
joel

Set the clutch pedal at the 3/4" free-play, then check the pto function on the second clutch. With the pto engaged, the pto should spin until you feel the second stage of the clutch on the pedal. You should then be able to stop the pto from spinning with the pedal fully depressed.

This will help determine where the problem may be.

Could it be something like below stuck on?

Parking Brake and Cruise Control Levers
Conveniently located parking brake (red lever) and cruise control (yellow lever) levers are in easy reach of the operator. Cruise control is only available on the CK27 HST model not sure if LK30 has similar.

LK-30 is gear.

Emergency brake could be a thought, although my machine, in first, will easily drive with brake on, but you never know.

On mine I can go forward but not reverse when left on. can't hurt to check.

Agreed, don't leave any stone unturned.

Really an odd thing, you'd think if the clutch was slipping, with so few hours, you'd definitely see smoke and smell that horrible burnt clutch smell???
