Who makes a tractor with a three point that has down pressure also. I know them russian tractors are but they dont turn for anything.

Belarus is the only currently made tractor that I know of that has down pressure. One of the Kubota Grand Ls would be pretty easy to convert over to up and down pressure, because they have external cylinders.

Yea, I used one of those, the little 250, it was an ok tractor but it didnt get around too good. I figured that that was the only one. It sure was nice to be able to pushdown with the three point. We used it to drill post holes, plow and break tire beads. I wish I could get a better tractor with the feature though.

That one is easy the Cadillac of Tractors = Fendt has 3pt hyd up & down..

My Zetor has a external hyd boost cyl 3pt lifts 6800 lbs.

Zetor was the source mfgr for some markets of JD 2200-2840 series, they might have a place for a boost cyl.

I never really thought about it, But now i wonder WHY do they not have such a feature? seems like there must be a good reason for it or they would have it. ANYBODY know why they don't offer it?

JCB, John Deere and Case skip loaders. Maybe others do also.

Two reasons. One is that down only allows float. The second reason is that if you use down pressure, you unload the rear wheels.

Excellent point. And the result would be a reduction in stability. So from a safety perspective, the way to increase downward pressure on 3PH attachments is with additional weight.

We used that russian piece-o-junk and I must say that that was the only thing I liked about it, the down pressure on the hitch. It had three positions, up, down, and float. All the way back got you a detent that held the control in the float position. I was able to break the back tire loose pushing a disc plow into the ground but you just adjust when needed or put it in float position. I would love to have the option on a newer tractor and dont mind fabricating it myself, but it would be nice if it came with it. Post holes weren't a problem and when we had a flat on the truck, we used the three point arm to break the bead, that was nice.

The rippers on the rear of my dozer have down pressure. It is handy as heck to raise the whole thing off of the ground for undercarriage maintenance or for getting unstuck by shoving logs under the tracks.

I would pay extra for an optional up/down/float three point.

For driving posts in soft ground or raising the rear end. Heck, if I can apply the equivalent of weight to a set of discs with down pressure then that is less weight I have to tow around on a trailer to the job.
