2007 Kioti DK45SE HST
As some of you know I purchased a Kioti DK45SE used (67 hrs on the clock) for a song and a dance. There are a couple issues with it and I wanted some opinions.

1). When I use the 4 way flashers the left side front and back will not work, however the turn signals work on that side, do you think the flasher cube has gone bad if the tractor has one?

2). The seat will not adjust up, its down at its lowest point. I was under the impression that the seat will "ride" up and down when set correctly much like air ride seat in a road tractor. I was thinking of unbolting it from the tractor to figure out what is wrong.

3). Its a 2007 model and its sat outside all its live. The throttle leaver seems extremely hard to move. I am thinking there is some kind of rust in the linkage in the dash. Has anyone ever been in/under and dash to see whats in there?

I can't help with 1 or2, but 3, well I've had experience with that. The throttle cable runs to a pivot on the engine and you will find a pin that rides in a slot on that pivot. Grease the pin up and make sure it gets between the pin and the pivot point.

Took me a long time to determine that was the issue with mine. Now I make it a part of each oil change.

The flasher on my CK 20 does the same thing. it is in the switch. if you turn the knob to the left and move it to the right until it comes on they will work. Apparently there is a corrosion issue in the switch

Regarding the throttle stiffness, mine has been stiff since new. I figure it is better to be a little stiff than to be loose and possibly change position during operation while bouncing around in a field. I have learned to simply tap it with my palm rather than expect to move it with my fingers. I've never tried to loosen it and consider it a "feature" at this point.

I also had a hand throttle that was hard to operate. I disassembled the leaver assembly and pasted Never-Seez all over the washers. I kept adjusting the tension nut until it worked as easy as possible but still stayed in full throttle position. Then I built a foot throttle which I now use a lot more than the hand one. Hand throttle now only used for long jobs. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...k25-hydrostatic-transmission.html#post1722409

Thanks for the replys! You literally have to "hit" the throttle to make it move. I have run many different pieces of equipment from excavaters to lawn mowers and none have had a throttle like this, but I attribute that to it sitting outside the first 2 years of its life. I like the foot throttle idea but I have a HST which shoul dbe run at a constant RPM. I have other tractors (D6006 for example) with foot throttles and they work great. I am looking forward to a 3 days weekend to get these issues sorted out on my Kioti.

Let us know how it goes, as for the lights, I would pop the lens and look at one of the bulbs... not sure if it's 2 filaments or not. Just check if one is broken and it's seated correctly with no corrosion, long shot but easy to do.
