Lightining hit too close to the house!

On Monday, one heck of a storm rolled through my area. Lightning hit an oak tree behind the house and split it into. The strike also took out my phones and the pair of shorts I was wearing. I was on the sofa when it hit.

Hope the tree wasn't to damage,if so looks like good fire wood....bet you yell somemore than dig dong dang when KAAA BOOM arrive.

Oaks are pretty sturdy so it might live. I have one in my front yard that has been hit more than once. It has survived at least two hits, and a ice storm that broke a limb off so large that there were several pickup truck loads of wood. It is still out there. Even though it is split down the middle, and has green leaves on it.

Well you know what they say about lightning and thunder ....If you hear the thunder your ok its over.
