Hi,

Perhaps a strange question, but it's got my local parts seller a bit puzzled too.

A standard light switch plate is available (at least in the UK it is) for the 35/35x which has six positions, they are:

1 - OFF
2 - SIDE LIGHTS
3 - SIDE AND DIPPED HEADLAMP
4 - SIDE AND MAIN HEADLAMP
5 - MAIN HEADLAMP AND PLOUGH LAMP
6 - PLOUGH LAMP ONLY

And yet every single replacement light switch I've seen offered for sale only has three or four positions.

What am I missing? Something doesn't make sense to me!

Thanks for any help.

I don't understand your question. Are you looking for a switch to match the switch plate? If so, try ebay, digi-key, mouser, and probably others. Here's a link to mouser switches.

Ah, the question was basically, why does the MF35 lighting plate available at many parts dealers, have six positions when all switches available only have three or four?

I've discovered since asking that the 35 SHOULD only have at most a four position switch, which is OFF, SIDELIGHT (plus PLOUGH LAMP feed goes live), DIP, MAIN.

So in other words, those six position plates they sell, are a work of fiction, apparently!
