Any ideas on how to mount the switch? It is the vertical rectangular type, so not a simple round hole to drill into the dash. I have it secured with cable ties, and that is ok for now.

I think I would be tempted to replace that rectangular switch with a SPST toggle switch which uses a simple round hole. Then mount it on the dash or bracket. I am assuming that the switch is single pole, not double pole. You can get a really good toggle switch most anywhere - or Amazon. Might cost $5-$10.

It uses a relay so three wires. No sure why a relay is needed but followed the directions.

Switches will burn up not made for many amps
and the relay can take a lot more amps than a
switch so use a relay if you don't want to keep
replacing a switch. You will find that almost all
lights on vehicles require a relay for the above
reason.
