Lifting a building with the 2520 and the 70.

Actually, I've got a shed EXACTLY like that one (I'd better go back and make sure mine's still there...) that I had to move across the yard, before I got the 2520, naturally. I did it with a chain on the trailer hitch of my pickup.

But since I got the tractor, I've often wondered if I could have gotten away with picking it up and moving it with the forks, maybe with a couple of big, ratcheting tie-downs over the top to hold it on.

Then again, the chain and truck worked pretty good too...

then the 70 started lowering you could feel the weight on the 2520.
it made me pucker a bit but all in all it went smooth and was pretty easy and made for some interesting pictures.
the 2520 has so much power for it's size i'm amazed by it every time i use it.
Has to be the best purchase i've ever made.

It certainly seems like a strong little bugga .

Sure they would! I remember moving a large press base, weighed about 10K lbs, with two fork trucks, 6500lb & 7500lb capacities each. Forks on the buckets would have been a little tricky, but IMHO safer than just using the buckets.

How are you going to get the forks out from under the building once you lower it ?
The forks at this point will be wedged between the bed of the truck and the under side of the building?

put a 2x4 under it and whollaaa their you go. We do it at work all day long with metal that weighs 10 times as much as that building

Wow, what a great feat of engineering. I do believe you did indeed "pucker" on the way down. Shoud frame that photo for the grandchildren.
