I believe the L has a relief build into the hyd. block so hopefully everything is ok as long as it wasn't run too long.
A full on deadhead on the pump would most likely result in a noticeable result be it noise or fluid.

Ok, that helps a lot. Thank you I really appreciate the help. I haven't run the tractor more than a min or two while trying to pick up my mower. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary yet so hopefully everything is ok. I'll go ahead and order the block or plate that I should have ordered in the first place. In the meantime I might try and find something to connect the two ports so I can get to mowing.

Yes.....you simply cannot plug them three holes.
The top right port is coming from the Pump.....labeled P
The bottom is simply return.
The top left is what feeds your 3PH....labeled PB
See attached of how it looks with a loader attached:
Under normal operation with a loader.....pressure came out the P port and went to the loader valve.
If you were operating the loader.....return flow went into the return port.
If you were not operating the loader....the pressure flow would simply pass right through the loader valve (open center), and return to that block VIA the PB port....where it went on to feed the 3PH.
So the Top two ports ABSOLUTELY need connected to run the 3PH. Your dealer was mis-informed when he told you that the plate for non-loader tractors "basically just plugged the ports".
I agree that you should contact whoever you sold the loader to. If they have intentions of installing it on a kubota....they are gonna want that block.....and you are gonna want the one he has. Save you both from having to buy it at a dealer.
And simply running a short hose to connect the two is fine for temporary....I wouldnt want to leave it like that. Too much risk of snagging it on something by the time loop around to make that bend

LD1 is refering to the plate that mounts to the hydraulic block that the hoses for the loader attach to under the tractor (what you put the l plugs into).
If you can get ahold of the person you sold the loader to you can exchange plates and both save a trip to the dealer to spend money.
Hopefully someone with a workshop manual can post the page on the hyd. block, pictures are worth 1000 words.
I have that plate, It's still on the block as I never took it off. I shouldn't have used "plug" when describing how I closed the 3 open ports. They are actually caps that screw into the male threaded ports. Does that change anything? I was under the impression I needed to switch this plate that I capped with another plate?

No it doesn’t change anything. You can only cap off the tank drain port. The pressure port that comes from the pump needs to be connected to the power beyond port that goes to the 3pt to complete the loop. You will damage it the way you have it.

CAps, plugs,....no difference.
The aluminum plate that things were attached to.....where you put the plugs/caps......that whole plate needs to come off and be traded.
Yellow arrow is pointing to what you need to remove.

The following pictures (your original on top in pic 1) may help clarify. The bottom of pic 1 shows what the non FEL cap (plate) will look like. Pic 2 shows what the non FEL cap does, it routes the pressure from the hydraulic pump (P) from (A) (which used to go to your FEL control valve than back with your aluminum plate) to (B) to (C) which is to your to your 3 point hitch.
