I have been sitting on this 10x20 carport for a year or 2 finally had a need to get some stuff moved out of another location so I erected it.
$100 street score!!! I saw some guys taking it down at a house they were renovating and asked them if they wanted to sell it. Boom! Sold! Had a few issues I had to straighten out. Was missing an upright, $25 for a new one. They had to cut part to get it get it taken down, but I just welded it back together. We got 3 of the trusses to line up with the holes in the metal. The other 2 trusses, not so much. Nothing a little bit of duct tape and silicone can't solve.
She ain't pretty but she will workin in a pinch. Definitely going to put some sides on it. Might just have to be tarps for now, until I get more free time. Maybe build a lightweight shed roof off the side to keep the implements in the dry. Enclose the end? Why not? Going to add some horizontal 2x4's on the inside to hang stuff from. Yes, I know it is a mess but I just needed to get stuff moved from my other spot for now.
I kicked myself for dragging my feet on buying a 20x20. Then COVID hit and prices went through the roof. This one will work though, for now. I need to price them, maybe they are coming down.
Show me your metal carports!! I need some inspiration!
